Circular Economy in Georgia - Opportunities for reusable packaging systems and women’s participation

The Operational Research team has successfully completed the Circular Economy Baseline Study in Georgia, funded by GIZ.

Our project aimed to assess the local conditions for reusable packaging solutions and explore ways to empower women, foster collaboration with the private sector and engage communities.

The assessment included a comprehensive review of relevant legislation, policies, national statistics and academic literature.

Interviews were also conducted with key business actors and local government representatives in three strategically selected cities: Tbilisi, Batumi and Rustavi.

* Note: This project was completed by the N(N)LP Operational Research Institute, under which the team of Operations Research Institute LLC operated from 2021 to 2024.
